Who For?
Designed for personnel who have to or may have to enter a confined space.
Please Note: This Confined Space Entry Course does NOT qualify personnel in the use of full breathing apparatus, but DOES include the use of 15 minutes Emergency Escape Breathing Apparatus (Escape Set).
Confined
Space Course (Entry) Objective
The aim of this course is to provide all course candidates with a firm understanding
of the current legislation regarding confined space entry and safe work in
a confined space. Including being able to identify the types of confined spaces
and their hazards and the ability to enter a confined space and apply the
safe and correct procedures for entry into, working within, and the emergency
procedure for confined space operations.
Certification
All persons who successfully complete the course will receive a SOTAT certificate
for Confined Space Entry Course Attendance and a site card, valid for three years.

City & Guilds 6150-01 Certificate in Working in Confined Spaces: Water
Level 2 Qualification in Working in Low Risk Confined Spaces - 1 Day
For low risk confined spaces, in line with the new NOS (National Occupational Standards) for working in confined spaces (water utlities).
Please Note: The 6150-01 Course
does NOT include the use of ANY breathing apparatus.
If required please see the 6150-02 Course below or the Confined Space Entry (SOTAT Certification) which DO include the use of 15 minutes Emergency Escape Breathing Apparatus (Escape Set).
Assessment is by practical observation and written test.
Certification
All persons who successfully complete the practical and written test will receive a City & Guilds 6150-01 Certificate in Working in Low Risk Confined Spaces and a site card, valid for three years.
City & Guilds 6150-02 Certificate in Working in Confined Spaces: Water
Level 2 Qualification in Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces - 2 Days
For medium risk confined spaces, in line with the new NOS (National Occupational Standards) for working in confined spaces (water utlities).
Please Note: The 6150-02 Course does NOT qualify personnel in the use of full breathing apparatus, but DOES include the use of 15 minutes Emergency Escape Breathing Apparatus (Escape Set).
Outcomes:Assessment is by practical observation and written test.
Certification
All persons who successfully complete the practical and written test will receive a City & Guilds 6150-02 Certificate in Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces and a site card, valid for three years.
